Sense of Nature Safaris runs all its mokoro trips through the Okavango Kopano Mokoro Community Trust (OKMCT) who control the use of a large area of the delta and who set the guide and community fees for safari activities. This community use this part of the delta for fishing, reed cutting and the harvesting of water lily bulbs. The mokoro is an integral part of these activities. This tour commences and ends in Maun.

We will pick you up around 8am at your accommodation in Maun and drive you to Ditshiping
mokoro station (approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes’ drive) and you will spend a lovely day in the
delta, learning about this unique ecosystem.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Maun
Arrive at Maun Airport. Depending on arrival time, overnight in Maun may be arranged.
Meet and greet at the airport by the safari team.
Day 2: Maun → Moremi Game Reserve
Morning departure to Moremi Game Reserve with packed lunch.
Arrive at campsite in the afternoon.
Overnight at Moremi camp.
Day 3: Moremi Game Reserve
Morning game drive after breakfast.
Return for lunch and siesta.
Afternoon game drive followed by a boat cruise on the river (Xakanaxa).
Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Moremi → Khwai
Breakfast, then drive to Khwai with packed lunch.
Arrive at Khwai campsite for dinner.
Overnight at Khwai camp.
Day 5: Khwai
Morning game drive and breakfast.
Return for lunch and siesta.
Afternoon/evening game drive for sundown.
Overnight at Khwai camp.
Day 6: Khwai → Savuti
Breakfast, then drive to Savuti with packed lunch.
Arrive at Savuti campsite for dinner.
Overnight at Savuti camp.
Day 7: Savuti → Kasane (Departure)
Breakfast, then drive to Kasane for onward departure.
